B.Com

The following languages and subjects in different combinations are offered.

Certificate courses

To enable the students to have an inter disciplinary approach the college is offering the following certificate courses.

  • Certificate course in Communication Skills.
  • Certificate course in Soft Skills.
  • Certificate course in Computer Studies.

Interested students can take up any of the above certificate courses after the regular class hours.  Further details can be had from the office.

Programme Outcomes (POs) and Course Outcomes (COs) of the courses

The college offers 2 programmes, B A and B Com.

In the B A stream there are four courses or subjects under NEP. The subjects are Business Management, Secretarial Practice, History and Rural Development. The outcome and the scope of studying these subjects are discussed briefly.

Business Management:

This subject offers both theory and practical components. It focuses on equipping the students in the areas of Management principles, Management functions, different aspects of entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Change Management, Retail Management and a Project Work .

The methodology used by the teachers include classroom teaching, case study, project work, presentations, etc.

The students who study this subject can get employment in banks, companies, HR departments or they start their own business. They can also proceed to study MBA.

Secretarial Practice

The course content include basic computer skills, personality development, practical in computer, presentations and preparing practical records.

The subject offers opportunity to improve communication skills, computer skills and managerial skills.

History

The content of the course include world history, Indian history, cultural heritage. The visit to historical places, preparing projects ,etc help students to understand the past and develop a perspective for the future.

The course prepares the students to become teachers or prepare for government jobs.

Rural Development

The course content includes rural community issues, government schemes, NGO services, education, health, rural finance, panchyatraj, management soft skills, research methodology. Visit to NGos, taking up research projects help them to move to courses like MSW or take up jobs in NGOs.

B Com

The course content includes, accounts, cost, static, law, taxation, management, etc.

The course offers opportunity to pursue higher studies in MBA or M.Com or take up banking and financial jobs.
